I know that I am a day early for my usual SPACE ODDITIES post, but today is a special day and I found a special video highlighting some of the really cool things happening for the month of October.  Since this is a special day, I didn’t want anyone to miss out on some of the exciting events going on, including the DRACONID METEOR SHOWER which was visible last night (sorry for being late) and  TONIGHT!!

Hopefully clear skies will allow you to enjoy the 3 meteor showers that can be experienced this month.

Click on the links below for all of the details (thank you MSN.CA, the Business Insider, Space.com and earthsky.org)

I have also attached additional links giving more details about the meteor showers.

How to Watch 3 meteor showers this month

Draconid meteor shower – this page also has a slightly longer version of the above video on this page as well.  I’m sorry that I am a bit late with this one (live webcast was yesterday).

EarthSky’s Meteor Shower Guide for 2016– this site gives details about the three October showers plus what to expect for the rest of the year.

Good luck and happy meteor watching!!
