I am a Whovian, a Trekkie, a Browncoat, a Potterhead. I am part of the Buffyverse, where I’ve flown in the Falcon to the Restaurant at the End of the Universe with my friends from S.H.I.E.L.D.. I’ve Marvelled at the wonders of science, and would love to be an honorary member of the JLA.
I am a “geek of all trades”, married to my best friend and mother to two teenage boys who inherited the geek gene.
I have also completed my first NaNoWriMo and have an outline to what I hope will be my first novel. Finally, I am a mature student (well, I am a student, not so sure about the “mature” part). 🙂
When I started this blog, I wrote mainly about the geek culture, with some parenting and writing posts thrown in. At the end of September, I had decided to move to four posts a week, following my tagline of GEEK, MOTHER and WRITER, plus an astronomy-inspired post called SPACE ODDITIES.
For a while it was great, until I realized that with everything else going on in my life, that well, I spread myself too thin.
After thinking about it, I have made the choice to cut back on how often I post. My topics will still be either GEEK, MOTHER, WRITER or SPACE ODDITIES, but now they will only appear on Wednesdays and Fridays.
At the end of the day, it’s all about balance.
I hope that you my dear reader will understand.
The purpose of this blog has always been to give you a break in your day. Whether it’s a bit of poetry about being a mom, a fascinating astronomy article, or a bit on the latest in geek culture. I look forward to giving you food for thought, or even just a giggle.
For those who follow me, I hope that I continue to entertain you. To those who have just found me, I hope to add some blogging fun to your own busy day.
I look forward to sharing my thoughts with you!
