About Me…

(updated January 2018)

I’m a writing geek and mom, who likes to find cool astronomy articles. My posts appear Wednesday and Fridays.

Writing Wednesdays will be all about the written word. Normally it will be my own work, but I will share articles and reblogs on writing as well.

Fusion Fridays will cover the topics of geek culture, astronomy, inspiration, and occasionally, family.

I’m also a contributing writer of dark poetry for the The Bold Mom. You can find me under the Authors Team.

I’m a mature Library Tech. student (well, I’m a student, not so sure about the “mature” part), and I work part-time at a rural library.   🙂

Finally, I’m a “geek of all trades”, married to my best friend and mother to two teenage boys who inherited the geek gene.

The purpose of this blog is to give you a break in your day.  Whether it’s a bit of poetry/flash fiction, a fascinating astronomy article, a bit on the latest in geek culture, or the ramblings of a mom.  I look forward to giving you food for thought, or even just a giggle.

For those who follow me, I hope that I continue to entertain you.  To those who have just found me, I hope to add some blogging fun to your own busy day.

I look forward to sharing my thoughts with you!

  2. OMG!!! That speech was amazing! My husband is a big fan of Game of Thrones. I’m forwarding it to him. Keep going! Just remember to have fun! Don’t look too far down the road. Just take that next step, whatever it is and don’t look back. Thanks for sharing your inspiring world! Thanks for encouraging others to follow their dreams. Thanks for giving me a wonderful, inspirational and entertaining break from all the fiction in my head. 🙂

  4. Omg! I love meeting fellow fans! I have fond memories of traveling in the TARDIS with Nine, I am a proud Ravenclaw (and apparently Horned Serpent according to Pottermore – let’s not even get into what my Patronus is sigh), I am firmly in the belief that I am related to Agent Melinda May (and nobody can tell me otherwise), Buffy is hands-down one of the most badass females EVER, and I long for the day Gandalf knocks on my door and takes me on an adventure. I also pride myself on my ability to marathon whole seasons of tv shows in mere days (it’s a legit skill, honestly!)

I look forward to stalking-I mean-diligently following your posts 😉

  5. Hi,

No, but I do plan on having something new up every week. I will be doing an author post in September after Fan Expo Canada. I have done three interview-style posts so far, but I knew my guests. This is with someone that I don’t know so it’s into new territory for me and I am excited. Thanks so much for your feedback. I want to keep myself unique as much as possible.

  6. Great first post! Love the name, Tina! I am a geek-in-training but since I’m a huge Potterhead, love all things Marvel, binge watching NetFlix and have been introduced (& love) Agents of Shield I think I’m on my way.

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging!
